Conformance status

This website targets and, to the best of our verification, conforms to WCAG 2.2 Level AA. Conformance is checked with automated axe-core audits in both colour themes and in right-to-left locales, plus manual keyboard review — most recently on 2026-07-25. The deliberate design exceptions are listed below.

What this website does

• Full keyboard access — a skip link jumps straight to content, and every control is reachable and operable by keyboard. The screenshot viewer is a proper tab list with roving focus, and its arrow keys follow reading direction, so they mirror correctly in Arabic and Hebrew. The FAQ uses native disclosure controls.
• Structure assistive technology can follow — semantic landmarks and a single heading outline on every page, alt text on every image, and ambient video hidden from assistive technology so it never interrupts a reading order.
• Never colour alone — every authentication verdict in the interactive demo is written out in words (PASS, WARNING, SEALED) beside the protocol it belongs to, so the result never depends on telling green from amber.
• The demo speaks its results — the header analysis walks through its stages in a polite live region, and when it finishes it announces the authentication outcome in full, so a screen-reader user gets the same finding a sighted user reads off the lamps.
• Fifteen languages, real right-to-left — every page is pre-rendered in 15 languages with correct lang and dir attributes; Arabic and Hebrew get full right-to-left layouts rather than mirrored English.
• Motion you control — the site honours your system's reduced-motion setting, and the pause control in the top bar stops all ambient video and the hero animation at any screen size. Your choice is remembered, and it overrides the system setting in both directions.
• Readable by design — AA-checked contrast in both the dark and light themes, self-hosted fonts with no third-party requests, comfortable touch targets, and layouts that reflow cleanly down to 320 px wide without horizontal scrolling.

The HeaderLume app

The macOS app's App Store product page lists the accessibility features it supports, so you can check before you buy:

• VoiceOver — HeaderLume works with Apple's built-in screen reader.
• Voice Control — the app can be driven entirely by voice.
• Dark Interface — a true dark appearance, not an inverted light one.
• Differentiate Without Color Alone — this is the one that matters most in a forensics tool. An SPF, DKIM, DMARC or ARC result has to be unambiguous to an examiner who cannot tell red from green — and on the printed page of an exhibit, where colour may not survive at all.
• Sufficient Contrast — interface text and controls meet contrast requirements.

The app also ships in the same 15 languages and runs entirely offline — no accounts, no sign-in, and no network step between an examiner and their evidence.

Documented design exceptions

• Header data stays left-to-right, even in right-to-left locales. IP addresses, timestamps, relay delay values and SPF/DKIM/DMARC/ARC verdicts keep Latin direction in Arabic and Hebrew. Hop order and address syntax carry meaning — mirroring them would misstate the evidence.
• Forensic sample data is not translated. The terminal strip, the demo's PASS / WARNING / SEALED verdicts, the hop labels and the sample RFC-5322 header reproduce what mail systems actually emit, in the form an examiner would meet them in a real message.
• The “no evidence found” 404 page is English-only.
